A wall-mounted TV looks great until a tangle of cords hangs below it. You can clean that up in about 20 minutes without opening the wall. Here is how we would do it.

1. Count what runs to the TV
Power, video cables, a sound bar, a streaming stick. Unplug anything you no longer use before you start.
2. Make one bundle
Gather the cables behind the TV and wrap them together every 12 to 18 inches with reusable cable ties. One neat bundle is far easier to hide than four loose cords. Label each cable at the TV end first, so swapping a device later takes seconds.
3. Run it straight down
Route the bundle in a straight line from the TV to the console or outlet. Straight lines look planned. Loops and sags pull the eye.
4. Clip it to the wall
Adhesive cable clips hold the bundle flat against the wall. Space them evenly so nothing sags. If you want the run out of sight, add a paintable cord cover over the top and match it to your wall.
5. Tidy the console
Coil any extra length behind the media console and wrap it with a cable tie so it stays put and out of sight.

Leave room for changes
Keep a little slack at the TV so you can tilt the mount or swap a device. Reusable ties open in seconds, so adding a game console later means no cutting and no starting over.
Recommended: Cable Clips
Adhesive clips that hold cable bundles flat along walls, furniture, and the back of your media console.
